Project 44

Before You Begin

If you have not already been in contact with a KBX team member, please pause and do so before proceeding.

Complete the KBX Technology Solutions Project44 Questionnaire to provide us with your account and system details.

If you do not already have a KBX TM account, follow the steps below to register.

Step 1 – Sign Up

Fill out the registration form with your first name, last name, company, user ID, email, password, and password confirmation.
Note: Your user ID must be unique and not already in use.

Step 2 – Select “Track It”

From the application options, choose Track It.
In the notes field, add information for manual load status entry and project44 vehicle ID entry (see example image).

Step 3 – Set User Type

Click on the User Types tab.
From the dropdown, select Carrier.

Step 4 – Review & Confirm

Read the terms and conditions, then click Register.
You will receive a confirmation email, you must confirm your email before gaining access.

Our KBX TM Admin Team will contact you when:

Your account security has been updated
Or if additional information is needed to complete setup

KBX TM project44 Instructions

How the Program Works

Vehicle IDs must be entered exactly as they appear in your ELD provider’s portal, including spaces, dashes, commas, and other special characters.
This must also match what project44 has on record.

KBX receives GPS tracking data from your ELD provider 1.5 hours before the tendered pickup time until delivery.

Important Notes:

If a driver picks up or delivers before the tendered pickup date/time, statuses will not be captured automatically. You must enter them manually in KBX TM/TOPS or Loadshop.
If you enter the truck number after pickup, you must manually enter pickup dates/times.

Enter Vehicle IDs

For Contracted Lanes

Where to Enter Vehicle ID:

In KBX TM/TOPS, go to Load Status Entry → Track It screen.
Use the Vehicle ID button.
Or use the link within the email tender.

Steps:

Enter the truck number in the Visibility Associate Asset screen.
Add it as soon as you know which driver will take the load.
If the truck number changes, update it in the Track It screen immediately.

For Loads Tendered Through Loadshop

Where to Enter Vehicle ID:

In the Loadshop portal, go to the Booked loads tab.
Click the white pencil icon under the “Truck #” column.

Steps:

Enter the truck number exactly as it appears in your ELD provider’s portal.
If the truck number changes, update it in Loadshop right away.

How KBX Uses the Data

project44 uses geofences to mark arrivals and departures:
- Arrival: Truck enters within 0.5 miles of a stop
- Departure: Truck exits the 0.5-mile radius

Special Cases

If a driver arrives but is rejected, project44 will still mark them as arrived/departed because of the geofence.
- In these cases, notify KBX operations that the timestamps are invalid.
- Manually update the actual times after the driver picks up/delivers.
If one truck is assigned to two identical loads (same pickup/delivery dates/times, origin, and destination), only add the truck number to the first load.
- After delivery of the first load, add it to the second load.
- Adding it to both at once will cause identical timestamps for both loads.

To confirm arrival and departure statuses for each stop:

Log into KBX TM/TOPS.
Open the blue menu button.
Go to Load Status Log in the Track It dropdown.
Check loads individually by shipment ID.

Required Status Codes:

Pickup Stops:
- X3 = Arrival at pickup
- AF = Departed pickup
Delivery Stops:
- X1 = Arrival at delivery
- CD = Departed/completed delivery

If any statuses are missing, update them manually.
