1. KBX sends a trade request via Orderful.
2. You receive login details and set up connectivity (AS2 preferred, sFTP or VAN also supported).
3. Test transactions are exchanged and validated against our guidelines in Orderful.
4. Go-Live is scheduled Monday–Thursday, 8 AM–2 PM CT, after successful testing.

• Carrier name and SCAC(s)
• Interchange Qualifier and ID(s)
• Main EDI contact information
• EDI connection method (AS2, sFTP, VAN)
• Transactions to be exchanged
• 997 Functional Acknowledgement capabilities
• For Truckload/LTL: ability to send in-transit updates and batch 214 messages

Complete the Marine/Air EDI Questionnaire

• Review the guidelines (link at bottom of page) and confirm you are mapping to send the correct X12 data elements consistent with our standards. Testing validations in Orderful match exactly what will be used in production.
• Send only production-ready test files — any “mocked-up” files must be identical in structure and content to what will be sent live after Go-Live.

You can validate EDI files before connecting:

1. Go to https://www.orderful.com/validate-edi-in-real-time 
2. Paste your file into “TEST YOUR EDI”
3. Click Validate Payload
4. Review any errors and follow the provided fix instructions
